  Kindergarten Connection

Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa

    Last Week

We continue to enjoy our time with Mrs. Anderson for Junior Achievement. The lessons are well suited for our students and they really are learning about money. She will be with us for the next 2 Tuesdays to finish up the unit. Ask your child what he/she has learned during JA.

We had a fun time reading outside with our 3rd grade buddies last week. The weather could not have been better and we loved getting to know them better.

Speaking of the weather.......I'm sure you are all aware that the dreaded 4-letter word has been floating around again-SNOW. The forecast tells a sad story that we are not quite finished with the "white stuff."

Please be sure to dress your child appropriately for the weather. It is supposed to be cold again this week so be sure your child will be comfortable each day. Thank you for your attention to this for him/her.

One of the annual tasks of school is to look forward and predict future class sizes. The form below is an important tool as it allows us to hear from families already here in our district. Please take a moment and complete. Thank you!

Snack and Leaders

Your child will come home with the Leader bag the night before his/her leader day. There is a notebook inside with directions for sharing both a snack with the class and a Show and Tell item. Please refer to the calendar in the back of your child's take home folder for leader and other important dates.

Due to allergies, please refrain from sending snacks that contain any kind of nut. Thank you!

We will snack in the morning each day. It is not necessary for you to send a snack with your child, as the leader provides it each day.  Thank you for sending a leak-proof water bottle with your child each day.

Next Week

Our Positivity Project trait is Forgiveness-You forgive people who makes mistakes.

Our 3 D Shape Museum is open. If you and your child would like to "loan" an item or 2 to our museum it would be great. The shapes we are learning are Spheres, Cylinders, Cubes and Cones. Please be sure to have your child's name on the item in order to have it returned. Thank you

The Book Fair is open April 14-21.

Our next Guest Reader will be Ms. Zelenock on Wednesday, April 19 at 3:15. Please bring 3-4 books to share with the class. We look forward to this fun time each week. 😀

Upcoming Events
