  Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                                                          Last Week Your child's folder came home Friday with the February Leader calendar in the back pocket. The February Homework calendar came home too. You may send back the January calendars at any time next week for a trip to the treasure chest and Book-it Pizza Hut certificates. Much fun was had with the return of snow to our world. Just a reminder that snow pants and boots must be worn in order to go onto the playground. If not, the children remain on the blacktop area to stay dry. It is very important that your child brings a pair of shoes to change into while inside. You are welcomed and encouraged to leave a pair of shoes at school. Wet boots on...

Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                                                          Last Week Oh my goodness, we had so much fun ice skating on Friday! A huge thank you goes out to all the grown ups who helped make this happen. We definitely could not have gone without you. The kiddos were so brave and did such good jobs. It was a first for many and ice skating is hard. A new set of sight words and the "We Like Fruit" readers' theater book came home on Friday. Please add them to your collections of each and practice, practice, practice. If at any time you need another set of all sight words I will be happy to send them home. Just let me know.   Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa                                                          Last Week P2 Character Strength-Love of Learning -You master new skills on your own and at school. It was SO great to be together again as we begin 2023! It sounds like the break was a good one for y'all. We enjoyed sharing stories of travels, family, cold weather (and then, not so cold) and fun.  Your child's Pattern books came home on Wednesday. Please encourage him/her to read each to you. I would love to hear of more Pattern books being written at home. We can say with complete honesty that each student has become an author and illustrator.
