Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa      Last Week Art portfolios were sent home on Thursday. I hope you enjoyed looking at all of your child's amazing creations. Our Art Department is second to none from elementary through high school. 🎨 May homework calendars came home last week and the leader/events calendars were placed in the back pocket of backpacks. Completed April homework calendars are welcome any time for a trip to the treasure chest. Just a reminder that the Pizza Hut Book-It program only runs from October through March.  We enjoyed surprising Miss Holly on Wednesday with a baby shower for her little one. She was very touched and surprised! Thank you to those who sent cards or gifts. We will surely miss her. We can't wait to meet her new "baby bear" over a google meet.   Please be sure to dress your child appropriately for the weather.  It is supposed to be cold again this week so be sure your child wil...

Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa      Last Week We continue to enjoy our time with Mrs. Anderson for Junior Achievement. The lessons are well suited for our students and they really are learning about money. She will be with us for the next 2 Tuesdays to finish up the unit. Ask your child what he/she has learned during JA.   We had a fun time reading outside with our 3rd grade buddies last week. The weather could not have been better and we loved getting to know them better.  Speaking of the weather.......I'm sure you are all aware that the dreaded 4-letter word has been floating around again-SNOW. The forecast tells a sad story that we are not quite finished with the "white stuff."   Please be sure to dress your child appropriately for the weather. It is supposed to be cold again this week so be sure your child will be comfortable each day. Thank you for your attention to this for him/her. One of the annu...

Kindergarten Connection Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa      Last Week We loved catching up with each other regarding our time away. It is great to be together again. We began some poetry writing last week with Object poems. They are now gracing our hallway for all to see. What amazing poets we have in our class. Our first Junior Achievement session with Mrs. Anderson from Honor Credit Union was really fun! She will return for the next 4 Tuesday mornings to teach us about money and its role in our world and lives. Our next readers' theater book, Farm Animals,  came home on Friday. Please have your child read it to you and others several times. Be sure to add it to the place where all your child's books from school belong. The Variety Show was SO much fun on Friday!! Brown School is full of very talented students. Our class behaved beautifully and the show was 2 hours long. The acts kept our attention well and the anticipation of what might come next k...
