  Kindergarten Connection

Your child's week with Mrs. DeLapa

                         Last Week

Your child's progress report came home on Monday. Please keep the report, sign the envelope and return it to school asap. Those envelopes will be used all year to deliver progress reports to youAll the grades are given with our "end of the year" goal in mind. Please do not be concerned if your child receives a 1 or 2 on a standard. 1 means additional support is needed in that area, 2 means progressing towards mastery of the standard and 3 means the standard has been met. If you have any questions or concerns after receiving the progress report, please contact me.

Yesterday your child made a wish list at the Book Fair with the help of a 5th grade student. The fair will be open through next week if you would like to stop in or send $ with your child. Please feel no pressure to do this, it gives you ideas in case you would like some.

Our new students, Cooper and Zoe, have become fast friends with many already. Both have been quick to learn our routines and procedures. We are all so happy to have them 😊.

Snack and Leaders

Your child will come home with the Leader bag the night before his/her leader day. There is a notebook inside with directions for sharing both a snack with the class and a Show and Tell item. Please refer to the calendar in the back of your child's take home folder for leader and other important dates.

Due to allergies, please refrain from sending snacks that contain any kind of nut. Thank you!

We will snack in the morning each day. It is not necessary for you to send a snack with your child, as the leader provides it each day.  Thank you for sending a leak-proof water bottle with your child each day.

Next week we will continue our learning of Sequence of Events and Determining Text Importance. There will be a new set of sight words sent home to add to your child's bag. Please run through these daily to achieve automaticity.
